There is nothing like the thrill of hearing news on your favorite artist coming to town. The minute you hear they are in concert it comes time to waiting for purchase of ticket, to waiting in line to actually experiencing it. My first concert was at a young age with my favorite boy band N'SYNC. Since then I was hooked. I've seen over 30 of my favorite artist in concert including Common, Jay-Z, Q-Tip, J.Cole, and many more. Each concert so different from the next yet so similar. The crowd so different and again yet so similar with expression of excitment and pure joy. The crowd loudly singing/rapping in unison every word.
In some shows with general admission tickets, the lines begin as earlyas 7am for best front row seating. I have been one to stand in line hours before doors open to promise myself the best seat/standing room in the house. While the line can be a little exhausting for some, I have met many individuals all different yet still all there for the same reason. I have packed a book bag with snacks and chargers and speakers to prepare for an evening to be on a musical high. I have witnessed everything from B-Boys and B-Girls to aspiring artist in cyphers while in line. Check your city you never know who is in town. Support artist in concerts as well as local artist; you just might find your new favorite artist in your city.
